Even if you’re one of the many that feel Bratz are distasteful, it may be difficult not to at least be slightly humoured by Bratz Girlz Really Rock; Bratz’ answer to the current popularity of Hannah Montona and High School Musical.
This range doesn’t merely jump and dance on the tiny weeny pop bandwagon but wails with a roaring power chord that: Rock ‘n’ Roll will never give-in to choreography and miming. That is until you see the DVD (to be released in autumn 2008) when you’ll hear even more of the all too familiar musical style.
There are 4 dolls in the range, each of which comes with 2 instruments and 2 outfits. The outfits include combinations of punk and bling that will delight girls so much and cause, in equal measure, much grown-up befuddlement and disdain.
These rock stars, of course, have a tour bus (exclusive to Woolworths in Great Britain) and, such is their musical success, they also have a jet aeroplane (exclusive to Argos).
For girls to star in their very own live performance there’s a voice changing microphone, which has a built-in speaker and 3 sound effects available at a price of a button. To perform on TV there’s the Bratz Girlz Really Rock Music Video Star, which is a video and microphone that connects to a TV allowing you to use special effects and even includes a FM radio.
