Argos have employed Rocket Creative to re-design the well known Chad Valley toy range. Research was carried-out to identify where the brand should sit within the toy market before working on the new range, which is expected to launch in the 2010 Autumn Winter Argos catalogue.
Andrew Turner, Argos marketing manager commented: “The Rocketeers have worked wonders so far developing some amazing concepts and successfully meeting strict deadlines with ease. I think it’s safe to say we are all getting very excited about unveiling the final designs.”
Chad Valley was established in 1860. Argos bought brand last year as part of the selling-off of Woolworths assets.
It is no surprise that brands like Argos have picked up toys brands like this from the ashes of Woolworths. I would fully expect Argos to make a significant return on their investment from what was probably quite a small outlay, when you consider the massive exposure that they will now be able to give the Chad Valley brand within the Argos catalogue and on its website.
