Usborne Publishing are recalling its Baby’s first book (boys edition) Cloth Book. Small parts have been found in UK editions sold between August 2008 – December 2009, presenting a choking hazard to children under 3 years of age.
Use of this product should stop immediately. Small parts occur when the dinosaur spots come away from the fifth page, due to the stitching perforating the shiny plastic green fabric.
Two batches were affected: one of which has no batch number on the tag, available between August 2008 – December 2009, and the other with batch number 90594, available between August 2009 December 2009. The affected books were sold at a variety of retailers, with the list price being £9.99 and its ISBN and barcode number being: 9780746087930.
This recalled book should be immediately taken away from children and HarperCollins Distributors should be contacted for instructions on returning the book and being supplied with the new edition.
