USA Toy Recall: Rattles by P. Graham Dunn due to Choking Hazard

P. Graham Dunn and the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) have announced a voluntary recall of around 500 Wooden Toy Rattles made in China and distributed by the Ohio based company.

The product poses a serious choking hazard to young children, as the wooden dowels used in the toy can be installed at an angle, allowing the metal rattle inside to become exposed. P. Graham Dunn is aware of four incidents of the metal rattle becoming exposed. No injuries have been reported.

Recalled P. Graham Dunn Toy RattlesThe affected product in this recall involves a wooden toy rattle with light brown stain, eight wooden dowels and a gold-colored metal rattle inside. The toy rattle is circular in shape, measuring 2 3/4 inches by 2 inches.

The affected product was sold in gift stores and book retailers nationwide from June 2010 through July 2010 for about $6.
