Harry Potter Diagon Alley Watford London Google Street View

Diagon Alley, the shopping parade for witches and wizards in JK Rowling’s Harry Potter stories, can now be perused on Google Street View.

However, it’s the version that has been recreated by Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Watford that muggles are presented with by the ubiquitous Internet search engine.

It’s believed that the author took her inspiration from Cecil Court, off the Charing Cross Road in London when describing Diagon Alley in her books. Makers of the Harry Potter motion pictures used Leadenhall Market in London (built in 1881) as the location to film exterior scenes.

Further evidence : Google Street View, Diagon Alley
