Lammily Doll Website Crash imageLammily is a new fashion doll that is available to buy online. Unlike her more famous rival, Barbie, Lammily is neither skinny nor blonde; and is even supplied with a sticker sheet of bodily imperfections.

The doll has the proportions of an average nineteen-year-old female U.S. citizen; and – if their owners wish – can be adorned with stretch marks, acne and even an appendix scar that would mortify a cack-handed want-to-be Doctor Frankenstein.

The doll was the brain-child of artist Nickolay Lamm. Mr. Lamm had earlier this year started a crowd-funding campaign to produce a fashion doll with the proportions that were more representative of an average woman.

Having secured over $500,000 in funding and 19,000 pre-orders the doll is now on-sale to the wider public, however, not without a hitch as the e-commerce website has been over-whelmed with internet users trying to access it.  Whether this is due to potential buyers or admirers of all-American beauty, we are unsure.
