Maps of the London Underground, made entirely from LEGO bricks, have been unveiled today at the ticket halls of five stations.
Commonly referred to (both with and without affection) as the “Tube”, London’s subterranean network of railways is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
Each map is different and shows how this busy public transport network has evolved; and what will look like in the future, when the construction of Crossrail is completed.
The maps will remain on display throughout this summer, before being moved to the London Transport Museum.Continue Reading

The simplest of possessions are rarely as cherished as they are during childhood. Like many, it was a selection of toys that were my favourite things; with fond memories of Lego and soft toys.

Two Team Hot Wheels drivers have successfully raced though a 60-foot tall loop-the-loop in Los Angeles at this year’s X Games. The Double Dare Loop was a life-size version of a Hot Wheels orange toy track set called Double Dare Snare.
Bigjigs Toys are to set-up a train set on the 26th July. However, this won’t simply be a matter of opening a box of the firm’s popular wooden railway kits but in-fact an attempt to break The Guinness World Record for the Longest Wooden Toy Train Track.
The world’s first ever security cat has been employed by toy company Bandai to protect the stock at its warehouse in Southampton (UK). Millie the Bengal cat – paid in cat food and fish – will be guarding popular toy ranges, such as, Power Rangers, Harumika, Ben 10 and most appropriately of all ThunderCats.
