Most collectors of Gogo’s Crazy Bones Power will build up their collection by buying foil packs for around £1.00. Each of these packs contains two Power Gogos and two Power trading cards. One of the two figures will have a shiny metal-like finish to them; a new look to this forth series. The packs are sealed so that you do not see the contents until after you have bought them. Any doubles that you buy can be swapped or traded among other collectors.
There is a starter pack available to help kick-start a collection. Starter packs, sold at £4.99 include two foil packs, a collector album to keep the trading cards in and a poster that details the collection of figures and the rules of the trading card game.
Ten of the figurines and ten of the trading cards are described as “Most Wanted” and are harder to find than the others.

The new sticker book explains the rules of playing with Gogo’s using a series of comic strips. By each sticker space a little bit of background information is given about the collectible toys.

Add water to the cupcake mixture, put into the paper holder and then into the microwave safe container and blast for a few seconds with microwaves.
Mix up some flavoured icing and add it to the frosting machine ready to squeeze out onto your cup cakes. There’s also a tub of sprinkles to add to your cake.

]]>The Gormiti are creatures who are dubbed “the Invincible Lords of Nature”. They live on an island called Gorm. Being a battling card and figure game, Gorm is a place of much woe. Gorm wasn’t always like that, it used to be lovely there. However, I’ll leave the contrived legend to the game’s own literature.

The Gomiti 4 Character Pack contains 4 plastic figures, 3 are visible through the packaging whilst 1 is hidden. There are 4 cards, again 3 are visible and 1 is hidden. Also in the pack you’ll find a map of the Island of Gorm, with the back story printed on the other side together with a list of figures and the rules of play.
The rules of play are thus:
“How to Play
Each player adds the points printed on his or her Gormiti’s foot to the points listed on the matching Gormiti card. The player with the highest score wins!”
That’s it. No rules on what pieces can be played with or how many can be used. So a bit of imagination is needed from the players.
In the first series of Gormiti figures and cards there are 42 to collect. The collection is organised into 6 tribes of 7 characters. The tribes are the people of the Earth, Forest, Sea, Air, Volcano – Magma and Volcano – Lava. The Magma and Lava tribes are the baddies in this tale. Each tribe has a Lord who is bigger than the remaining 6.
Also, available in the Gormiti collection are: 1 figure and card packs, 3 figure and card packs, the Island of Gormiti Playset and the Volcano Mountain Playset.

Gogo's : in play
Scoring
Each player takes turns to throw 5 Gogo’s in one go and adds up a score depending on how they land. 5 points for landing on its feet, 2 for on its side, 1 for face down and none for on its back. The game can take place over a number of rounds to see who gets the best overall score.
Bowling
Arrange an agreed number of Gogo’s standing-up on the floor about six inches away from a wall. Take turns to throw a Gogo, trying to knock-down your opponent’s figures. Whoever knocks-down the most wins.
Online
Using a line on the ground, such as a paving crack or one drawn yourself, throw a Gogo and try to get it as close to the line as you can. Whoever gets closest wins the round. Play a number of rounds and see who gets the highest score.

Battle
Line-up an agreed number of Gogo’s opposite your opponent’s figures. With one of your own Gogo’s try and knock-down your opponent’s. Take the same number throws and whoever knocks-down the most wins.
K.O.
Mark-up a circle or square where each player places an agreed number of Gogo’s. From a few feet away, take turns to throw a Gogo to try and knock your opponent’s out of the ring. If a Gogo gets knocked-down but doesn’t fall out of the ring then it must be stood-up, back in its original position again. Whoever has the most Gogo’s in the ring after an agreed number of throws wins.
In Flight
Arrange four Gogo’s in a square and place a fifth one in the middle. Throw the middle Gogo into the air and try to pick-up the other Gogo’s before catching the one you have throw. You gain a point for every Gogo you pick-up, but no points if you fail to catch the one thrown in the air. Play a number of rounds and add-up the points to see who wins the games.
Basket
Use a box of a suitable size and from an agreed distance take turn to bounce a Gogo with the aim of getting it into the box. Bounce an agreed number of Gogo’s and whoever gets the most into the box wins the game.

Gogo's : Swapping & Trading
To-day Gogo’s are small, brightly coloured, plastic characters that are packaged with stickers so that you cannot see the contents. Children can play a variety of games with them. These games mainly involve throwing the characters around, which must at least in part explain their appeal.
There are 80 different characters, each available in 5 different colours. If that doesn’t sound like a difficult enough collection to complete you’ll be please to know that there are 5 additional designs that are really rare. A complete collection therefore comprises of 405 of these little figurines; and there will be 80 more characters released later in 2008.
Gogo's : in play
Swapping and trading these toys is common place, with some toy shops organising their own swap meetings. With some Gogo’s being more common than others, children across the country have attributed a certain market value to individual designs; resulting in a handful of figures being offered for one particularly coveted Gogo.
Children can make up their own games using the figures but there are a number popular games that are being widely played.
The Verdict
Gogo’s offer relatively good value for money. The games you can play with them are great fun and very sociable. So, it comes without surprise that Gogo’s are banned from schools; but it might be possibly because of the misplaced apostrophe. The characters themselves are very appealingly designed, bearing some resemblance to the popular collector’s cult of Japanese vinyl toys.
Building a complete collection and filling the sticker album could be rather expensive; but without doubt Gogo’s prove that the simplest toys often turn out to be the most popular with children.
