The Gormiti are creatures who are dubbed “the Invincible Lords of Nature”. They live on an island called Gorm. Being a battling card and figure game, Gorm is a place of much woe. Gorm wasn’t always like that, it used to be lovely there. However, I’ll leave the contrived legend to the game’s own literature.

The Gomiti 4 Character Pack contains 4 plastic figures, 3 are visible through the packaging whilst 1 is hidden. There are 4 cards, again 3 are visible and 1 is hidden. Also in the pack you’ll find a map of the Island of Gorm, with the back story printed on the other side together with a list of figures and the rules of play.

The rules of play are thus:

“How to Play

Each player adds the points printed on his or her Gormiti’s foot to the points listed on the matching Gormiti card. The player with the highest score wins!”

That’s it. No rules on what pieces can be played with or how many can be used. So a bit of imagination is needed from the players.

In the first series of Gormiti figures and cards there are 42 to collect. The collection is organised into 6 tribes of 7 characters. The tribes are the people of the Earth, Forest, Sea, Air, Volcano – Magma and Volcano – Lava. The Magma and Lava tribes are the baddies in this tale. Each tribe has a Lord who is bigger than the remaining 6.
