USA Toy Recall: Children’s Frog Masks Sold at Target – Due to Suffocation Hazard
Target and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have announced a voluntary recall of Children’s Frog Masks due to the risk of suffocation posed by the item.
These plush (soft toy) frog masks lack proper ventilation and when secured in place across a child’s face, it presents a suffocation hazard to the child. Read more
Recall to Repair: Mothercare Swinging Cribs and Gliding Cribs
Mothercare has recalled a number of its swinging and gliding cribs due to “an issue with [the] bolts supplied”.
The affected products were produced between September 2010 and May 2011. The batch code labels of the affected cribs are dated between 01-09-10 and 31-05-11. Read more
Recall: IKEA BUSA Children’s Folding Tent
IKEA has recalled its BUSA children’s folding tent due to the potential risk of lacerations.
The steel wire frame of the tent can break during use, this can cause sharp wire ends to protrude through the tent fabric, creating a risk of a laceration or puncture injury to a child playing with the tent. Read more
USA Toy Recall: Chloe, Sophie & Audrey Soft Dolls sold at Pottery Barn Kids
Pottery Barn Kids, together with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada have recalled a range of softs dolls with the names Chloe, Sophie and Audrey, because of a potential strangulation hazard.
The hair on the Chloe and Sophie dolls may contain loops that are large enough to fit around a child’s head and neck, and the headband on the Audrey doll, if loosened, can form a loop that fits around a child’s head and neck. These loops can pose a strangulation hazard. Read more
[USA] Recall to Repair: Phil & Teds Metoo Clip-On High Chair
Metoo Clip-On Table-Top high chairs have been recalled in the USA by Phil & Teds due to fall and amputation hazards.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commision (CPSC) have advised that the use of these clip-on high chairs should stop immediately. There have been 19 reports of the chairs falling, 5 of these incidents involved injuries to children. Read more

Fisher-Price (a brand owned by Mattel), the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) and Health Canada have announced a voluntary recall of the Fisher Price Little People Builders’ Load ‘n Go Wagon; due to a laceration hazard.
The back of the wagon’s plastic handle has moulded-in reinforcement, which by design adds stiffness and facilitates children gripping the handle, however, the handle poses a laceration hazard if a child falls on it. Read more

USA Toy Recall: Wooden Animal Drum Due to Lead Paint
Cost Plus Inc. and the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) have recall Wooden Animal Drum toys, due excessive levels of lead paint.
The paint used on the drum is in excess of the maximum allowable level of 90 ppm, a violation of the federal lead paint standard. There have been no reported incidents or injuries involving this product that was made in China, at the time of writing. Read more
USA Recall: Animated Safari and Aquarium Lamps
Christmas Tree Shops has recalled its range of Animated Safari and Aquarium Lamps due to fire and electric shock Hazards.
The affected products were imported from China by Nantucket Distributing Co. Inc., of Middleboro, Mass. The recall involves around 35,000 units of stock. Read more
