Owners of LeapFrog’s new and most wanted LeapPad and the established Leapster Explorer will soon be able to enjoy a range of videos apps available from the LeapFrog download centre [or, center, if you're in the USA].
Agreements signed with HIT Entertainment and Nickelodeon means that video episodes of Thomas & Friends, Fireman Sam, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Bubble Guppies and Team Umizoomi will be available to download directly to LeapPad or Leapster Explorer.Continue Reading
In the US, Toys R Us is the place to go if want to get your hands on one of this year’s most wanted toys – the LeapPad Explorer. Over 30,000 units of the learning tablet computer for children will be available to buy at the toy superstores as they open at 6 am on Saturday 10 December.

Leapfrog’s LeapPad Explorer has been cut by £20 at Argos. Originally £79.99, it is now on sale for £59.99. Both the green and pink versions are in the offer.
There’s also a 25% off the rest of the LeapFrog range, as well as Peppa Pig, Zoobles, La La Loopsy, Doctor Who and Halo toys.
LeapFrog has announced that its new iPad style LeapPad Explorer electronic learning device has sold out of pre-sale units, during the first two weeks it has been available for pre-order in the U.S.A.
No sales figures or number of units made available have been released by LeapFrog, however, John Barbour, the company’s CEO, said “We are extremely pleased with the performance of LeapPad during this initial availability.
