Recalled Build-A-Bear Sulley Soft Toy

Build-A-Bear Workshop have recalled over 26,000 soft toys due to a potential choking hazard. The affected product is a stuffed toy version of Sulley, a character from Monsters Inc. and Monsters University film by Disney/Pixar, whose eyes can become detached posing a choking hazard to young children.

So far, there have been no known incidents or injuries reported, however, this toy should be taken away from children and returned to a Build-A-Bear Workshop store. Upon its return, a coupon will be issued which can be exchanged for any stuffed animal in Build-A-Bear Workshop.

The product was made in China, with 25,000 distributed in the USA and 1,100 in Canada. The toys were sold at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores and via its website (www.buildabear.com) during June 2013, it cost about $23.

The blue furry soft toy measures about 17 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide. A tracking label ending with 4384 or 4385 for USA and 4378 for Canada can be found on a sewn in label on the backside of the leg of the stuffed monster.
