Early Learning Centre has published a safety notice regarding its Rosebud Country dolls’ house (ELC product code : 139084). The company are advising anyone with this dolls’ house to remove the grey pin part of the slow closing hinge and dispose of it safely.
ELC has stated that the product meets the requirement of toy safety standard EN71; but “…has decided to take action and replace this particular component… [because] …ELC remains committed to the highest levels of product quality and safety.”
Customers who have purchased the dolls’ house online will be automatically sent replacement components by post. All other owners of the toy will need to visit their local ELC or Mothercare store to obtain replacement parts.
The dolls’ house can be played without the slow closing hinges (previous dolls’ houses by ELC have had standard hinges) and therefore the affected parts should be removed and disposed of immediately.
