Skip Hop has recalled its Tuo Convertible High Chairs because there is a risk that young children could potentially be injured.
The front legs can detach from the seat which may lead to the chair to collapse and result in children sustaining injuries from the fall.
It is recommended that use of these high chairs should stop immediately. Skip Hop can be contacted for a free replacement.
About 7,900 units in the USA and 2,000 in Canada are affected by this recall, the product was manufactured in China.
Skip Hop has received 13 reports of the legs of the high chairs detaching, these incidents have resulted in two reports of bruises to children.
The product was sold throughout USA and Canada from Babies ”R” Us, Buy Buy Baby, Target, Kohls, Dillards and other children speciality stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and Skiphop.com. The high chair was sold for around $160 and was available to buy from September 2017 until December 2017.
The Skip Hop Tuo Convertible High Chair in this recall has charcoal coloured fabric and can be converted into a small chair for toddlers, once it has outlived its use as a high chair.

A date code can be found on the back of the chair with one of the following:
- HH102016

The highchairs have a reversible seat pad, removable tray, 5-point harness, beechwood footrest and legs.
