Toys R Us Updates Return Policy as Closing Down Sales Continue

Toys R Us has updated its refunds and exchanges policy for UK stores as closing down sales continue across the country.

Goods are exchangeable if they are unopened, in a resalable condition and have a valid proof of purchase, such as the receipt.

Exchanges can only be made during the period that the stores remain open. The company stated, “… if you have an item that you wish to exchange, we would encourage you to do so as soon as possible before Sunday 11th March 2018.”

Toys R Us no longer accept returns for refunds, however, this does not affect your statutory rights. If the goods you have recently purchased are faulty, you are still entitled to your money back.

If you are purchasing goods in the closing down sale, it is worth using a credit card for purchases over £100 as you will have still be able to get your money back for faulty goods after Toys R Us goes out of business.

Gift cards are still being accepted until Sunday 11 March 2018. If you still have unspent gifts cards, try to spend them as soon as possible. The closing down sale has emptied out stores of much of the most desirable merchandise.
